Garry's Mod won't stop freezing!

Gmod rarely makes it past the loading screen (Sometimes I even get stuck at the blue screen with "Loading" on the bottom right), and when it does, it freezes once workshop begins to download. I've tried a fresh install, deleting the game folder, uninstalling all the addons, deleting their gma's. I've come to the conclusion that it's just broken, unless someone on here would give me some insight as to how to fix this...

Well, it just could be a problem with memory or drivers, dose it was anything like "Garry's Mod is not responding"? If it dosen't, then make sure your Operating system is compable of running directX 9.0 - 9.1 and Garry's Mod.

Mine freezes too, But I just give it a minute to unfreeze.. Maybe you have too much stuff downloaded on your computer... : I

I've never had this problem before, nor have I ever had a problem running Gmod. When it does freeze, it doesn't crash or anything, but when I open the task manager it lists it as non-responsive, and I've given it time to unfreeze it just doesn't :(

Oh, and I might add ; when I start steam, it validates the files of all the games I've mounted onto Gmod. If that helps...
