Why Garry's Mod Is Terrible

This game makes absolutely no sense. I looked up multiple tutorials on YouTube and basically the idea I got for this game is "You make things do stuff!" I can make things do stuff in real life and it's a lot less complicated. Sandbox mode is boring. If I want to spawn whatever I want, I'll just play Scribblenauts. It's much more user-friendlly.

Once I got bored of Single Player Sandbox Mode (which was like after 10 minutes), I tried out the online servers. There was no tutorial and I had no idea what the heck I was doing. That, and I got so sick of people turning on voice communications just to shout profanity. Is this what the world has turned in to?

I bought this "game" for $2.49 when it was on sale for 75% off. My friend kept recommending it to me and told me to get it, and I thought it would be very worth it. Turns out I was incredibly wrong. To me, this "game" is not even worth 10 cents, let alone its normal price of $10.

I much prefer legitimate games that are actually playable. I uninstalled this game off my computer and I will most likely never play it again.

didnt look at addons and multiplayer user made content

gmod was never SUPPOSED to be a game, but a sandbox for indie devs and whatnot, so now we got stuff like TTT and GMOD tower. atleast play a game to ist full potential before you come crying cuase you played it for five min, whatched some stupid ass video, and think you know everything the game has to offer.

It doesn't need to make sense, it's garrys mod, it's a VALVE game, there's not a bad valve game, ever. It's just you who doesn't understand.

also, you know you can just MUTE the server screamers?

Garry's Mod is a sandbox game. What you do is up to your imagination, like creating robots or making a tank. If you don't like building stuff, then that is fine, there are tons of servers with different gamemodes e.g. Trouble in Terrorist Town, Roleplaying, Zombie Survival, and Space Build just to name a few. Don't expect to master the game in 10 minutes or get tutorials on exactly what to do, most people playing are little kids who have no idea what they are doing, and learning how to play something so awesome in 10 minutes? You may have to take a bit of time and find out what you like.

Always took it as more of a mod tools than a game. It's fun to make stuff in source sdk for gmod, ingame editing isn't half as advanced. I made a pretty decent level with custom npcs that spoke with my voice. And i got a trigger on respawn that resets everything in the level when you die.
