How do i Install the counterstrike source into Garrys mod? (On a Mac)

So iv recently just bought Garrys mod but i realised that most of the servers dont work withought the counterstrike source, so now i want to download the counterstrike source and i just want to know what to do with it. Is it a file that i have to to put into other files of garrys mod or is it a program that i just run to install it. Can somebody please explain to me what to do?

i will keep you posted i am downloading tf2 now maybe it works without addng files etc we shall see

Normally once you download and install CSS it will work without you needing to do anything. If not in-game on Garry's Mod click the controller on the main menu and see if Counter-Strike:Source is ticked.

i just installed counterstrike source, but i dont see it on gmod. how do i fix this?

Once you have both Garry's Mod and Counter-Strike: Source, run Counter-Strike: Source once, and quit, then open up Garry's Mod, and in the bottom right corner, click the icon that has a controller on it, then select the box that says Counter-Strike: Source. You should now have textures and models that are in Counter Strike Source.
