Broken Thirdperson

Hey, is anyone else having this problem? Whenever thirdperson is activated, whether it's through SCars, Simple Thirdperson/Customizable Thirdperson, SharpeYe, Parakeet's Pill pack or thorugh the standard console commands, they only see the playmodel zoomed in and smooched into the camera like it's some broken form of thirdperson over the shoulder? I don't know how, but it started to happen after I logged off gmod. I thought one of the adons that were listed above were causing it, so I unsubscribed and deleted them from the addons folder, but even then the issue still persists whether or not addons are enabled or not. I also tried switching to the dev build and back, but even then It occurs Anyone else getting this problem?

EDIT: Only time this doesn't occur is when I use a vehicle on the HL2 Base, thridperson works fine there.

Yeah, I've been having the same problem, wierd. Try the console command maybe that works.

I found the fix, mess with the SCAR Camera choices and then click Default, it fixes it.

I tried something and it turns out v enters thirdperson, so you could try that.

Bump. I'm having this problem too. The SCar camera fix didn't work for me, it's still just showing the playermodel without moving the camera. The base console command works, and Customisable Thirdperson works, but the Simple Third Person mod is really handy and I don't like the Customisable Thirdperson mod as much. Anyone found out a cause and/or fix?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you disconnect in thirdperson, and rejoin, your camera will be in the first-person position, but the playermodel will be visible. If the problem is what I am thinking of, to fix, type thirdperson in the console again. (With sv_cheats 1)
If that doesn't work, go back to firstperson, then thirdperson.

Guys this thread was written back in 2014 and has since been long patched, why are you necroing it?
