[RESOLVED] GMOD - Stuck on 'Lua Started' loading screen.

Been having this issue for quite some time - I open GMOD, click on a map to play and I load into the game BUT the 'Lua Started' loading screen just won't go away - I am able to interact with the game, move around, shoot, etc. you name it, has anyone found some kind of a fix for this? This issue dates back to 2019.

Lowering your game settings wouldn't do anything, neither uninstalling/reinstalling add-ons, hell not even reinstalling and factory-resetting GMOD works.

Maybe some of this will help:

1) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\data - remove everything from this folder. (but just in case, don't delete it).

2) Check the integrity of the local game files (I realized that you reinstalled the game 200 times, but it's worth a try).

3) Delete all addons, maybe they are also a problem

1) Seems like removing the files from the 'data' folder fixed everything! Thank you a lot!

2) How the hell do you know I have uninstalled GMod 200 times?! That's... a little embarrassing.

3) As stated previously, many people have said to 'delete all add-ons' but it never seemed to work, and I don't think anyone has the patience to redownload their add-ons everytime they get stuck on a stupid loading screen.

Again - thank you. IF I somehow encounter this 'bug' again in a different way, then I think it's time for an upgrade.

nvm works BUT EVERYTHING IVE CREATED LIKE MW BASE AND ARC9 PRESETS IS GONE!!!!
