NPC'S won't work

For some reason, unless im using the small cityish map you get first time logging in, the npc's will not move. Is this a normal problem?

Hold C, and on the top left, there's a tab called NPCs.
See if the NPC AI is disabled (has no tick next to it) or not on maps where the NPCs don't move.

It's possible the map you're using doesn't have AI Nodes.

First, Open Console, if you dont know what the heck a console is, pause, goto options, keyboard tab, advanced settings, and check developers console. click apply, and unpause, if it works, when you press the ~ or ` key, the console should open. in the console, type sv_cheats 1 so that you can use all the avaliable comands that the console has to offer. then type nav_generate (nav stands for navigation, its so the bots know what the maps look like so they know where to go.) then, if it works, it should start making navigation mesh (everything it does, you dont need to pay attention to. when its done, it restarts the map, then when you're in, spawn in a bot, and see if it moves, if not, go nav_generate again, and see if it works afterwards. if it said there are no valid seed positions, then oh well. (that seems to happen, so i cant help you there.) hope this helps. ;)

well then i cant help you, because nav_genrate helps the bots find where to go, like combine soldiers

For me only some npcs don't move but others do, these npcs moved before. And yes It was on the basic gmod map that everyone has.

Oh yeah the these npcs still can attack me, atleast some of them. And they also can move to attack other npc but cant move to attack me.

im trying to get npc's but there not in my npcs and it says that i have it and i only have ragdolls of them now and i dont know how to fix it
