How do you do creative mode?

Hidy ho all, I was going to mess around in creative mode the other day, but I couldn't figure out how to start placing things. And I couldn't find the controls for the list of things to spawn in.

So...how to I start spawning things in, and placing them?

press Q, and then hold left click with the physgun to move it.

This is not like Minecraft(creative mode).You open the menu with Q and then you see Spawnlists and there you got lots of items to spawn.You can move them with the Physics gun.

see now, i didn't even know that when I first started. is there a tutorial that teaches you the creative mode controls?

Yes I am new around here. Owned this game for a while, but only recently started trying anything with it.

Another question for you all. I was trying to spawn in a car wreck and make it drivable again. I spawned it in, attacked 4 wheels to it, made sure they all moved the same direction, put it on the ground and only 2 of them move, and then not very much. The other 2 were stationary.

Do wheels have brakes in this game? how does one turn them on and off if so?

Imo you should just stick with cars. Making vehicles out of scratch takes a long time without addons.

Attach thrusters to the rear of the car.

You might want to press the reply button in the upper right corner of posts. Anyways, it's not called "creative mode", it's called "sandbox mode" You press "Q" to open the menu.
