Can i run gmod?
I am about to get the gmod/counter strike bundle and I was wondering if gmod would run without lag on my pc. I have run the game speed test on tf2 and the speed test failed but tf2 works fine for me, it said that my graphics card wasn't good enough on tf2 and gmod. I havn't tested gmod because I haven't bought it yet. pretty much my CPU is a beast, it runs at 3.0Ghz.
The only problem is my graphics card, it is a Intel(R) Q35 Express chipset family. Plz answer honestly. -DCG_Asteroid360

Troll? Or a seriously bad computer.
I SERIOUSLY reccomend upgrading your pc. The answer is NO. you will not be able to run garry's mod.

If you buy a GPU to help your CPU, get a GeForce GT 520. 50 bucks, and good for simple gaming like Source engine games.

Well after all of the comments saying no i just got gmod anyways and when it finished downloading i opened it and it was running fine in single player until i spawned like 300 SGT.Foleys from the mw2 npc mod and then it got really laggy. when i went to multiplayer i was so exited to play prop hunt and when i joined all of the walls were pink and black checkerboard and there were random red glowing error signs, how do i fix that? counter strike source is still downloading and i have tf2. Also am i able to buy a graphics card and just install it or do i have to take out the integrated graphics and put the card in? Or is this all just hopeless because i got this computer 2 days ago and i got this computer just to play gmod.

Asteroid, you need to buy Counter Strike: Source. Used for content.

You need to buy Counter Strike: Source to fix the errors.

Is the computer a desktop or a laptop? If a desktop, how big is the case?
That has nothing to do with the errors.

i don't see how that will fix it but the pc itself (standing upwards) is 16 in. tall 8 in. wide and 17 in. long

Well, you seem to be able to run it, so there's your answer. As for the pink and black walls, that is because you don't have the files there. Get CS:S to fix that.

Now for some computer lessons: Obviously, you don't know too much about PCs, so I will help. Desktops are faster than laptops. Why? Because you can put bigger and better chips in them. Laptops tend to have slower chips because they are used for more mundane tasks, like internet browsing. Also, you listed your CPU speed. That is the speed of the core processor. To know if it will run, we need to know if you have a Graphics card. This is the GPU (Graphical Processing Unit), which turns the data into a readable image for your monitor/screen. If you have a GPU, list that. If you get a graphics card, you don't have to take out integrated graphics, because the CPU is taking over the job of the GPU since it is missing. However, I suspect you do indeed have a GPU present.

Did you buy your PC premade, or assemble it yourself?

I was responding to your final question in that post.
Hmmm... gotta do some measurements real quick.

Case size doesn't usually matter, unless you plan on getting a $5k video card about a foot long.

I got this computer from amazon so i don't know much about the computer itself. but this pc is different from my old one, the new one is faster, bigger, and it comes with a lever and when you pull it the side of the desktop pops right off so if i have to replace something in it all i really need are instructions and whatever i need to raplace it with. Don't hate me but i am a console gamer and i want to learn how to improve this pc (as long as it is under $100) and once i have a pc that can run most games without lag i will switch from console to pc. i am switching to pc because it has a wider veriety of games and i can't deal with all of the console wars.
