Why does Garry's mod take up 30GB?

Ok so in my steam/steamapps/common/ folder Gmod takes up about 20GB. Thats ok. What i don't understand is why there is another Gmod folder in my steam/steamapps/Str1ke4 folder that takes up 10GB. Do i need this 10gb folder?

Edit. I looked in the 10GB folder and there is another folder called garrysmod_old which is about 9.8GB. 5GB of that is addons. They do seem to be older addons. I think im just gonna delete it.

i guess that username folder is for the custom-content you had before the steampipe transition last year, however i'm not 100% sure, you should check the content or wait for more responses

I know right. I was just deleting mine. Past 30 gigs and getting alarmingly close to 1tb. Now my pc is saying it's to big to recycle. Full size 41.1 GB!!!!! GMOD IS A MEMORY EATER!!!!
ESTIMATED TIME TO DELETE 4HR???!!!!!!! WHY VALVE?! It literally ate half my C drive
