HELP! I can't load any stages!

Hello. I am an avid Gmod fan and spent almost the entire day yesterday trying to solve this problem. Here's what happens, I can get to the home screen like normal, but if i go to load a map to play on (and I tried different maps from construct to the origional flatland). It will load almost all the way, but crash on the final 2 bars. After watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYk5Qw4N85A (Even though it's not exactly the same problem) I verified my game cache, It said one file needed to be reaquired. I tried to load a stage again, and it still crashed. After a computer restart, i verified the cache again, and it said nothing was wrong. Also, I have been disabling mods like crazy in order to free up space. Which worked a few days ago when I added 2 mods, so I took off a few mods and presto, it worked like normal.

There are a few ragdolls and other things I don't use, does disabling free up space, or do they need to be uninstalled all together? I could, but my fear is that I couldn't find them again in the massive workshop. Anyone know how to help?

Additionally, the video (and a few other people) have said to uninstall gmod entirely and reinstall it later. I dont make any new content for anything (Except for screenshots) but I don't want to lose anything. (I'm pretty bad with the technical aspect of computers in this reguard).

When I used to play gmod, I was wither fighting zombies House of the Dead style, racing around on bikes, or blowing stuff up with G bombs (and sometimes mixing them all together). I almost always play alone (Beacuse I can't find anyone else to play with).

Now there are some mods that I don't use, and I have disabled them to trim the fat. However, It's still not working.

Please, If you know anything, please post! Gmod is my favorite game ever made! I even found a few stages I know i'd love the day it crashed! (Yesterday). Feel free to look through my mods list or anything on my gmod that may help! I wish I could post a reward for getting it back to working order, perhaps a few TF2 Crates (I have a variety) or some normal weapons? I really don't have much else, besides my eternal gratitude of course! :)

You need to unsub from a load of addons in order to fix this.
Disabling does absolutely nothing.

Very well. I just uninstalled and it did nothing.

Is there a way to find them later after unsub?

Yes, you can search them. There is one other suggestion, but it will take some time.
Find your addons folder (in file explorer) - should be under the garry's mod folder in steam.
Open up the folder, delete EVERYTHING
start game
Wait for it all to download
Also, approx how many addons do you have?

52 pages, but I got rid of some. Retrying now.

You're gonna have to delete a LOT of addons. Sorry man, but you must have hit a lua limit somewhere.

HAHA! I did this on the workshop for all the mods that I didn't use or wouldn't load and now it works! As promised RTL, you can have any normal TF2 weapon or crates you want from my inventory, and also a friend request! Thank you so much for your help! It made this nightmare end sooner than it would have.

As for now, I don't plan on adding any more mods, considering there are still some things I cant acess. I'll only add if i absulutely have to have a mod! (Which is likely a very cool maps or a weapon).

Just so you know, maps don't seem to add any weight to the lua stuffs. In other words, download all the maps you want at the price of longer start-up loading times. They'll have no effect on your game crashing. Just large addons that add loads of stuff (single-gun packs like CW 2.0 stuff are relatively light on your comp and won't crash you unless you get a crapload of them).

Really? I would have thought that they would add data. Oh well, I ended up tossing some models, weapons and misc stuff that either had errors or I never used very often. But I love me a good map!
