Everything is.. too bright.

This is kind of getting on my nerves.. whenever I play Gmod, everything just seems too bright. Like, I look at a white floor and it's just so bright. It's probably the "bloom effect" or something.. I don't know! I'm probably not the only one with this problem. Is there an addon to fix this or can I change it in my setting?

That, or mat_specular 0. I've found that tends to fix these 'fullbright' issues (which is what it sounds like you're having).

that worked but it crashed my gmod when i put it into the console. probably because my laptop is like the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of computers

pp_bloom 3

These two commands fixed a problem I've had with garry's mod for like 10 years. I just assumed it was the game's fault. Some dumb server probably changed my settings.

Mf I was playing on the Walter White's house map and the doors and the outside was very bright, and the doors had a chrome effect on them, I used these 2 commands and everything is back to normal. Huuuge props
