I have bought GMod yesterday and have downloaded the CSS textures and addons to play on a DarkRp server. However just before the end of the loading screen to enter the server my game crashes...
It crashes when "Accessing Workshop" is written on top of the loading bar.
My computer is a Mac and I am running on Mavericks.
Thank you for your help !
Except right behind you.
Ok so where do i start. So when i start up my GMOD and let it all load up its fine but when i try to join some DarkRP servers like AuroraRP for example it wont load me into it but instead it will crash my game and then i have to restart it. Even though i have played on that server before. This issue is starting to happen on other servers for me and its so annoying because i cant fix it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and i have cleared my game cache and i have even verified my game files but no matter what i seem to do it keeps crashing on me when i try to join some servers and before it never use to do this. I dont even have anything at all running in the backround when i go to play gmod. can someone please tell me how to fix this issue.
Yea that's good advice. Servers can mess it up for some players but not all, sometimes you need to edit settings that other servers might have changed. I'll try to get a list together of those, there are a few on my website forums. Not sure if it's still up. I'll pay the bill if it isn't.
Also, Everyone if you have problems you should go to the Gmod workshop and unsubscribe to all workshop addons. Then delete your entire gmod folder and re-download gmod. This is the easiest way to solve to many addons or settings that have been messed with.
Sorry for taking so long to respond I haven't played gmod in a while, but I will probably end up playing it again. Also no on replied at first so I thought it was a dead thread.
