Low FPS on DarkRP
Hey, I've tried most solutions on fixing my FPS but not succesful. It seems to only have low frame rate on DarkRP, is it because of the addons or players?

Solutions I've tried:

Lower my graphics on Settings
Reinstalling game
Disabling Addons

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450, CPU @ 2.50 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64 bit

Also note that I'm not an Computer Expert.

Well, i found your topic as i'm doing some research...
All i can tell you is :
Take one map
Launch the game in Sandbox
get 115 fps
Launch it in DarkRP
get 85 fps (same view, same settings)
Now put 15 NPCs. Get 60 fps.
Now remove NPCs and put 15 bots. Get 40 fps.

Well now i tried removing all my custom DarkRP modules... I get arout 56fps. So there might be some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ coded addons that i must find out.

Thanks but I made this topic 1 year old and I've already got a new computer.
Still thanks for the help tho.

1 year or not, but i got a high end computer (4 years cpu, 2600k @4,6Ghz so still very good), and i can still be down to 15 fps sometimes with loads of players. BTW, i found out that an HUD could already make you lose up to 25% performances. So i'm now trying to find a new HUD for my server...

Try looking up. It improves framerate for some weird reason.

Well Source can be run on a potato. So your computer is okey. the problem is in these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ servers (yes they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ im gonna explain why). You see most of public servers like RP servers use ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of unnecessary addons (most of them are not even used...) and just to load them all properly takes up resources. other thing is RP servers use big maps which are just not supported by Source engine. So the other problem is in its restrictions. i suggest just lowering everything on minimum (yes it will look ugly as hell... but it will help your problem.) So yeah either find a server that doesnt use all this ridiculous amount of addons or just play gamemodes like prophunt and so on.
