Gmod addons not working!? + How to fix! (2014)

Okay, so Ive been playing on a server called SmurfRP (check it out) for a while as I got promoted to moderator. But then I went back to the workshop to install some new addons. I installed a few, around 10-15 of them. I launched the game and when I selected Start game, there were none of my installed maps, only the default ones, and ones that are from servers I played on. So I select the GM_Construct (or whatever its called) and launch the map. When the map loaded up, I noticed that theres no Scars bar. Then I went to weapons, and 90% of my weapon addons were gone. I went to see my vehicles addons and there was only the TDMcars and some others, but most of them were missing. I have searched the internet but I just couldnt find any solvations. I tried running in Offine Mode which actually made all my maps and addons appear, but when I ran any map the game would just crash. I even uninstalled the addons I have installed today, but it still doesnt seem to work.

UPDATE: The problem has been fixed for me, but it seems other people are getting this problem again.

Try to fix this problem by changing from "dev" to "normal" mode. If that doesn't work, try playing in offine mode. If none of these work, just wait, the problem is gonna be fixed soon.

How many mods do you have installed because skyrim, Gmod and other games from the steam workshop have been having problems with their mods being limited to 50; the mods are still there but they are limited to 50 and it seems to be a bug in steam workshop and there is nothing we can do but wait since it affects every other game in the steam workshop.

I have around 400 or more. This is not normal. Is this a thing now?! Will this stay forever? Because I wont be able to handle only 50 mods. I hope its a bug and that it gets fixed because I have at least 100 mods that are important for me as they fix missing textures on the servers...

Same problem happened to me yesterday as well. Half of my addons are gone. Weapons, Scars, WAC Aircraft, and much more. Please Help Us!

same thing happened to me i was playing for a little while then i paused and quit the sandbox server that i was on and then when i logged back on about 70% OF MY ADDONS WERE GONE INCLUDING MY NPCS RAGDOLLS AND PLAYERMODELS

I have the same problem, and 4 of my friends do as well. We all have macs running boot camp, but my other friend with pure windows had the same problem. Everything was working fine until now. I had over 500 MB of the addons and now I only have less than 116 MB, and I hope that this problem is resolved soon

happening to me to it can't be fixed by any one other than valve. i don't know how this happened but we need valve to help or people will start to get mad... i deleted all my addons thinking something was effecting my files and i noticed only 50 addons would install i even checked the console. nothing...

Well, I tought this happened because of a update, but I guess it's a bug. Garry's Mod has been pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lately.

Still broken for me. I think my problem started lasted week at somepoint... Only scars works for me but weapons, and npc's are just not showing up.

The Steam Cloud & Workshop services are currently screwing up right now. We have to wait until they fix it.

Well, I got quite a few replies, thanks god Im not the only one with the problem, Valve should fix this bug now!

one of the steam servers died the other day so they're busy programming a brand new one. one more week.

Problem solved, I guess. I ran Gmod today and it decided to install all my addons.
