(Should be) Gaurenteed Fix for Addons

Decided to put this video together so people can actually get their addons working again, and not continue to post useless threads when there's already 50 other ones.

Threw it together in a matter of 5 or so minutes, so I apologize if I mispronounce anything or make a hiccup or two. Just download the file in the description and follow the directions. It's that simple.

This works for any/all GMA files in your addons directory.

EDIT: Just so people don't get confused, you don't have to unsub or delete the .gma files, that's just how I prefer to do it.

In my situation, after conversion, there were several old addons that were causing conflicts. After I deleted those everything worked ok.

It's a shame this keeps getting pushed to the other pages by more useless "My addons aren't working!" threads. People are reporting this works, and it's worked for myself. So giving it another bump.

It is, but the reality of it all is that you've got a massive amount of people, mostly young kids, in a panic because their favorite toy broke. You're truly better off having your addons as file folders and not relying on cloud. This is no knock against Gary, it's just one of the drawbacks of Steam. Most of the people that are reading your solution have never manually installed a addon and have no idea how it works, much less how to do it. Even if you show them on video. In my case I'm new to Steam but not to GMOD, I've been adding my own content for years. The only drawbacks I see are the lack of automatic updates, (what few there ever are), and increased load time but that doesn't bother me. I'm copying all my GMA's anyway so after all this is over I can just switch it all back if I want but I think I'll just "keep all my feathers numbered" when it comes to Steam. Sometimes a lone voice cries out from the wilderness guy, it isn't very often heeded in light of my 51 years of experience on this rock: you're trying though and you did help quite a few. Good on you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikpNPvahRg0 You will have to redownload all your Gmod 12 addons as it puts Gmod 12 in a different folder. (Everyone160) I personally think Gmod 13 is better though as I never played Gmod 12 before I played 13.
