awesomium_process.exe GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
One process is absolutely no problem, but it is getting annoying having 2, 5, even 8 OR MORE of these processes opening up when I join servers, read their MOTDs, etc - especially since if I kill the wrong one, my gmod menu becomes white - completely unusable, not to mention the performance hit that having upwards of 8 OR MORE of these + gmod running. >_< Surely there has to be a better way to handle this ♥♥♥♥ - or, if not [god forbid/sarcasm], there has to be a way to keep it to ONE ♥♥♥♥ING PROCESS.

Seriously, what does this do that couldn't be handled without it before the GM13? Some games like Everquest now are patched / have been for a while to kill off these excess processes for the reasons said processes drive me nuts in the first places surely that should be a sign. >_<

And why does awesomium_process.exe even control the gmod starting menu at all? You shouldn't have to restart the game because of this stupid process being killed, and shouldn't be rendered unable to navigate the non-internet portions of the game just because you killed it.

Bump - seriously, there has to be ba better way of handling this ♥♥♥♥ - 6 - 9 + awesomium_process.exe processes eats up[ a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of processor time, and memory, plus it is quite frankly unnecessary.

You can find information on that process here: http://lfhck.com/question/41596/what-is-awesomiumprocessexe

Apparently it's used by alot of different games.

I know what it is, problem is, the fact so many processes of it popping up and that it is so intimately tied into the gmod main menu. heh...

That's because it's a module used by the Gmod menu to load stuff. As to the multiple processes, that's probably Garry's fault for how he decided to implement it.

The issue I am having is that when I close the game, awesomium_process does not terminate with it and starts to eat more and more processor power. The memory remains more or less the same but before too long it was using up 20% of my processor.

I think that's ALSO a problem Garry needs to fix. I've seen other games using it and they don't leave behind orphaned processes. I'm not entirely certain but next time I run gmod i'll fiddle with the game to get some of those processes running then quit and see what happens.

I managed to get 7 awesomium processes today, one of them using 10% of my CPU and almost 1gb of RAM...

why was this never fixed?!
