How to start saved map on multiplayer

1.start a map where you created the save (and if it has some gamemode then start with it)
2.Start the server and let friends join you.
3.Then go to your saves in you spawnmenu and click on load your save.
4.The map will be same for some seconds or maybe minutes.
5.And then it load, so have fun.
Problem:
it doesnt save your positions :/

4. Went back in the game again and used "rcon gm_load saves/mysave.gms"

5. Restarted the server, reconnected in game, and re-did step 4 because I didn't believe it worked. (It did though)

I think what I'd been missing before was that the gm_load command expects a relative path from the garrysmod folder, and it doesn't assume what filename extension either.

Now my daughter won't be sad in the morning that the antlion habitat she built is gone, and I can finally go get some sleep.

I hope this helps someone else out!

when you are in game press q and then go to saves then click save

You have to wait until it loads a bit longer (once it took me 8 minutes) or click on load multiple times.

Wait so I don't get it so I just go in and press load and after a while it will load the save game?

Because when I press on load it sends me to singleplayer then I have to go rejoin my server

I really need help with this so basically I try and load the save on atomic on my server, it puts me in singleplayer so I have to rejoin my server and nothing has happened

Go to your menu, press ~, and the concole should show up. Make sure it's enabled in your settings if it doesn't. in the console type in "gm_save" and it will save the game.

It doesn't do that whether you're changing it to multiplayer or just loading your singleplayer world up. Thanks for this though, it will be very useful!
