Well, since your overall question lacks a substantial answer I feel like chiming in. First, though, to address your initial issue, you're simply missing content. A lot of the popular game modes and maps use Content borrowed over from Counter-Strike. If it's not from CS:S or TF2 then the odds are that the larger part of the content is custom made.

But to answer your question, what makes Gmod Fun (to me at least) it would probably be the sandbox features. I play Spacebuild a lot, which is basically just like Sandbox but it focuses more on Starships and space stations and stuff.

Hope your troubles come to an end, and apollogies that you had to deal with the Steam Community's lesser denizens as opposed to the more civilized citizens :P

The game is fun to people with expressive imaginations. It is a creative game in which you can do anything you want. It has a great community, plays well if you have Half Life and Counter Strike:Source, and is just full of random/fun things to do.

I'm not dumb i'm just (as people would say) a noob at garry's mod.

I like that (as people would say) part xD. If you dont have CSS try buying or finding the textures for Counter Strike Source. Installing TF2 will help in some cases after installing CSS

there is a never ending amount of stuff to do, hundreds of servers that never get old and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing community in my experience. i would probably never call this game old as there is always a new experience in each server

it's fun because you can do literally ANYTHING. Install addons, maps, playing with friends especially. Pink and black textures come from you not having some other games installed which is fine you can download their textures for free.
Garry's mod is one of the best games I've ever played in my life and I plan to spend more hours of my life into it.
