Explosion effect problem

There seems to be a problem with the explosion effect from RPG's and grenades on Garry's mod. The effect looks like blocks, but when I tried it on Half Life 2, the effect looks much better and realistic. I noticed this problem shortly after I installed the dismemberment mod, but I'm not sure if said mod is the cause of this problem as I still had this problem after I uninstalled it. I've tried...

-Reinstalling Garry's Mod
-Reinstalling addons
-Validating Game Cache
-Defragmenting
-Session with all addons disabled

happenes with gmod its normal its blocks for me aswell

So I'm not the only one experiencing the problem, then? Oh good. That's another thing I can add to a growing list I have of "Noticable bugs in Gmod that have yet to be fixed". Don't get me started on the horrendously low crouch speed that took _ages_ to somehow fix after version 13's release.

it happenes when you install mods that increase the textures for explosions
and yeah dont expect bug fixes anymore for gmod 13
hes already working on gmod 14 *sigh*

Either A, get a better graphics card that can handle the 2k-4k resolution texture mods that some of you may have without knowing

or B, remove any conflicting texture mods by unsubing from them in the workshop then navagating towards you garrysmod folder and remove all traces of the modded textures. To many texture replacers can and well try to override each other and cause the game to crash,freeze or in everyones case blocky effects

Either A answer : I have ati radeon hd 7850 2gb ddr5 256 bit and 8gb ram 1600Mhz and i5 3370K 3.2 Ghz and 1tb HDD and 120Gb SSD harddisk
