Should I animate with GMod or SFM?
So, I've been looking into the whole animation scheme. I'm not just talking about some two-second scene of a Soldier humping random stuff, but a whole video, like the ones you'll see on YouTube or something. I know GMod is a lot harder to use, but I feel like I've gotten behind it much more than I have SFM. Should I stick with GMod, or should I start learning how to use SFM?

I'd recommend SFM. It has much more animating capabilities than Gmod, and it's actually fairly easy to use. The learning curve is steep, but there is an abundance of instructional videos (Some from Valve), and once you learn something it's pretty easy to get going. I have just 14 hours on it at the time of writing this, and I've pretty much mastered all the basics.

EDIT: Actually, Gmod is somewhat easier to use, especially for sillier videos.

Well, I am more interested in making animations on the more serious side. I don't know. Unless I get a bit more feedback, I might just end up using both somehow.

Making serious-side animations on Gmod will be a nightmare. You'd need hundreds upon hundreds of short videos and screenies in order to make the animations look fluid, so I still stand by SFM as the best option.

SFM is the best opinion.

SFM is the best one for serious animation but Gmod is more suited for the more silly kind of animation
