Shift Button Stops Working In This Game Only.
Basically, it hasn't been working for two days and apparently to GMod, it's not even a button, so I can't re-apply the key to SHIFT/RUN. Why would this be? I'm using a ZBoard SteelSeries Keyboard, so anything might be the problem with this? This also means I can't run from those pesky raiders and robbers while run 'n gunning like the bad ♥♥♥ I am.
I'm not a badass, I mostly die doing it ;_;

EDIT
Resetting to default does nothing, so you know.

Typed unbindall. No effect. (Jokes)

Try resetting your controls to default

Did this long ago. Nothing. It apparently doesn't count as a key, but says SHIFT is bound to it, even though it isn't. It's a paradox tbh.

Well, I would've known you'd already done that if you put more detail into your post.
Regardless, why don't you set run to something else? Does binding shift to another key work?

Almost read the word for ♥♥♥♥ nearly. Anyway, the button is basically non-existant in the game. It doesn't work, despite it being bounded to the run key which got me thinking. The real question is, maybe my keyboard unbound the button to do that action accidentally, which might be the case.

It does however work in text-function as does capitalise letters, which is weird.

Have you tried restarting Garry's Mod or your computer, or unplugging then replugging in your keyboard?

I checked ZBoard controls and it's still bound.

SHIFT is used for something and text format, but the game should be using it for other functions, so I feel like Gmod is missing some of it's code somehow, and I haven't been fiddling with it at all. Gmod can be poorly done in some areas, so I'm not surprised.

Please try verifying your game cache. Verifying your game cache is a method of solving problems due to corrupted or modified game files. To do this:
Go to your Library tab.
Right-click on Garry's Mod.
Click Properties...
Click on the third tab from the left, "Local Files", and then click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..."
Wait for this to complete. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
You may see "All files validated successfully" or "Failed to validate [n] files", in which Steam will automatically download the missing/corrupted file or files for you.

I did that before, 6 files failed the validate when I had another problem which caused THIS problem. Lag issues fixed from basically what is troubleshoot, and made another.

This is one of the more puzzling cases.

I found out the game doesn't end itself properly, and is still on, despite going to exit and quitting. Maybe this is linked?
EDIT: I have to end it manually.

That's a common issue. Do you have another keyboard you could try?

Try to delete "data" folder in "garrysmod" folder (you may need backup it if you have E2 chips, AdvDupes and another client-side information)
