How do I play with my Friends?

Hey guys I was watching Vanoss and i noticed that for his prop hunt videos the only people in his server are his friends. I was wondering how to do this. Do you just make a server amd invite your Friends or do you have to buy a server? Thanks guys =D

you need hamachi look up video on youtube how to use hamachi!

From menu, press start new game. Then look up in top right corner and click "single player". Choose how many players and press start game.

so chdysinge you do that and then invite your friends before you load the world?

Monster you need hamachi its a software where you or people can connect to your ip with a password so no one else can its simple start it up make a hamachi server to connect then you do what the other kid said to go to the top right and put how many players etc then start then the players joining will use console then put connect then they put your ip then it should work

Steps:1.Go on Gmod. 2.Wait until one of you friends click the "Join Game" button on you profile.
3.Enjoy!

Do NOT get hamachi it screws up your internet. Just port forward its not that hard and should work better than hamachi.

None of these methods work, they only work if your friends are in a LAN, your own internet connection basically. They do work if you have Hamachi though, I don't recommend using it though, it allows anyone in your Hamachi network to get past your firewall. I do recommend using SteamCMD and making a dedicated server, here is a helpful tutorial on it: IT IS FREE BTW https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i-1c0NQtBIE hope this helps!
