Well MAC seems to have issues with Source games and in most cases is incompatible. You need to be specific on when it restarts and how the PC behaves when this occurs.

TF2 is source i think it was something i played on in GMOD

Try verifying the game cache. TF2 is a higher version of source for GMOD since gmod is a copy of the HL2 beta in 2002. and TF2 was a game from 2009. Consider buying HL2 and CSS because both run on the same engine (same variables).

Verifying your game cache will not help if it is a physical deficiency in your computer. In all likelihood something making your computer "restart" is more than likely one of two things: A virus (EXTREMELY UNLIKELY.), Or that you are overheating your computer and it is shutting down to prevent damage to internal systems. Try turning down your graphical settings ingame.

But if it's a MAC (designed for editing and minimum gaming at a normal 60-70 fps) it is the game itself. Addresses in the game recently have been infected by some unknown worm (which just appeared today) and has been infecting and changing values in GMOD. Today one destroyed the renderer for my GMOD.

If it crashes your entire system on start-up, that means its your MAC that is creating a problem. Go to the Apple troubleshooting or find a forum via Google. Depends really on year of the MAC since GMOD was orignally released to Windows XP in 2006 and MAC in 2011.

Just see if you can upgrade for at least minimal gaming.
