GMOD Purple Checkerboard Error

So, I've pretty much been fighting GMOD for the past few days trying to play PropHunt.

But, everytime I manage to get a room open, purple/black checkerboards cover my screen, and ERROR is spread out all over. I know that it might be because I'm missing a texture, but what texture am I missing? And if I am missing a texture, how do get the missing texture?

You lack css textures aka counter strike source textures. You can download these off the internet and use them to eliminate your purple checkboard problem.

I find it dumb to do this because i for one don't want to go buying other games just to play Gmod WITHOUT errors

It's a mod, therefore, it requires assets from other games depending on the addons used. The base game itself does not require this. There are plenty of servers and addons that don't use these.

Well most of the maps have these errors and i hate when i go to play Death Run because of the errors.

When you look for a server, you have to look to see the tags if they state they don't require those games.

You only really need CS:S, then sometimes the HL2 episodes. They're already cheap, and they're cheaper on sale.

What the mods say are the final words on the forums. He says it's piracy, which is something that is a permabannable offense if you discuss it.
