How to Port Forward with AT&T U-Verse! (OUTDATED)
Do not send me a friend request asking for help. You will be ignored and blocked. This guide is no longer useful because the port forward interface for AT&T has been updated. I no longer port forward, so you might as well keep searching for a different guide.

Recently, I've been struggling with this problem and posted 2 different threads about it. No one has replied, so I asked my friend who does some server managment and he tought me how.

1. Use your external IP address as an url on your web browser then it brings you to your AT&T U-Verse website

2. Click Firewall then click NAT/Gaming

3. Enter your DAC (Device Access Code) which is most likely printed on a sticker on the side of your router

4. If you look in the "Services" box, you'll notice that Garry's Mod isn't there, so go to Custom Services

5. In the box, you'll see tabs listed Name, Global Port Range, Protocol, and Host Port
In the section where you can add your own custom service below the box, put "Garrys Mod" right there without the "

6. The average gaming Global Port Range is 27015, so put 27015 in both boxes of the port ranges

7. The Host Port needs to be 27015 aswell

8. Make sure your protocol isn't TCP or Both. It HAS to be UDP

9. Click "Add" after you've done everything above correctly

-Now for the finishing touches on port forwarding-

10. Click "Return to NAT/Gaming" right below the "Add" button

11. In the Application Hosting Entry box, click the arrow then scroll down until you find *Garrys Mod

12. In the "Needed by Device" box, choose your computer. If there's an IP address or any IOS systems in the tab, ignore it. Choose your computer

13. If doing everything correctly, open Garry's Mod, look in the Local Internet tab or whatever it's called. You'll notice right off the bad it's a bit grey unlike the other servers you see in the "Internet" section. That's because the server(s) haven't been port forwarded. Don't worry, your server has. Refresh your local internet server, and it should appear completely clear!

NOTE: Keep in mind this is JUST how to port forward. Comment below if you want me to make a tutorial on how to make a server!

Hey, if you still play, I'd be very thankful if you'd send me a message on how to make a server. Thank you!

I'm glad to hear a response!

Well, I use this free program from a Valve sight called SteamCDM, or I think that's what it's called. It's a software that is a Command Prompt which runs on Steam commands. With this, you can choose the game you want to use for a server and start up your own offical dedicated server. I am currently working on setting up my Garry's Mod DarkRP right now.

If you need extra help about how to set up a dedicated server with SteamCDM, visit Youtube. It's how I found out about all of this amazing stuff! :D

You don't need to port forward to 'make' a server. To make it able for people to join your server, yes, you need to port foward.

www.whatismyip.com
When i search for my IP it says "This webpage is not available." What do i do?
I also don't see this "NAT/Gaming"
And where is custom services
Nvm i think i figured it all out

I'm guessing you're doing the cmd > default gateway IP thingy. Go to some website like whatismyip. It'll tell you.
