What do you mean?
Addon is actually quite a good idea, but is there no way to do that without one? Did the devs have an idea of integrating demo recording from thirdperson? I guess not.
Well, wire is too complicated and I don't think there is a way to record video or demo files with it...
Let's see an example of the video I want. One of them is an RP when a person runs through a dozen of combine shooting them. He has an objective to get somewhere/ kill someone/ steal something/ run away/ etc. I can make it a firstperson shooter, I've done it before. But I want to make it more cinematic, when the camera flies around the scenes. Like free camera moving when the battle is happening. That's what the demo allows you to do after recording, it's like gotv. But facepunch made it so your character vanishes when you replay a demo. I've found out such a thing called sourceTV. It's basically a bot which allows you to do demos from his point of view. But whenever you make this bot and start recording, gmod crashes. That includes dedicated servers.
