NPC's Disappear Immediately On Death

I've had issues in the past similar to this, where they dissapear after a certain time, but I've resolved all of those. Now, though, I have an issue where they disappear as soon as they die, no ragdoll appears.

I've done some of the obvious things like,

• Make sure keep corpses was on
  
• Tweaked the "g_ragdoll" commands
  
• Examined all the addons that may have a possibility of causing the issue

but still no fix.

My last resort would to completely reinstall the game, or, even just uninstalling all my addons that aren't like NPC's or stuff I know for sure couldn't be causing this. Does anyone know a fix?

There's multiple reasons that can result in this issue, but I've marked the post below as the answer due to it listing a handful of solutions. If what they said doesn't work then please continue to research for an answer.

I personally ended up removing all my addons which then fixed the problem. One of my hundreds of addons at the time was the cause of the problem, but I didn't want to go through each and every addon, so I started over and only redownloaded addons I know I could trust to work properly.

Ayy haha, 7 files were reaquired, lots of hope right now. Now I just need to test the game out

Nah, didn't end up fixing it.

Sure it fixed some other minor things though that I barely notice, since it found problems with 7 files

I'm just going to do a sweep of my addons and uninstall the ones that are most likely causing the issues.

Got It Working

I went through my installed addons and there in game settings and made sure none of them was forcing keep corpses off. A few of them had the option to remove corpses so I did some tweaking and it fixed my issue.

Maybe referring to wiping your addons and starting fresh

I've done that many times (3, 4 times) and lost 300-700 addons each time. Either because of an issue I couldn't find the source of, or because of the fact that nearing 1000 addons makes gmod run like absolute ass even on a gaming PC

It's a harsh solution but definitely the most effective

ai_serverragdolls 1
g_ragdoll_maxcount

And make sure ingame in the C menu that "Keep Corpses" is on.

I know this is an old post but i fixed this by removeing the addon Nut script and A.I improved npcs or something. I hope this helps anyone with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bug. :)
