red x particles

when i shoot a npc or a explosion happens my textures and or particles turn into this explosion of big red x looking particles and i jsut want to be able to playw thout constant x shaps coming outa my npcs and explosians is there a fix for this couse its nota mod aprently its a gmod thing thats been happning for idk how long but if somoen has a fix pls pls help memit mayhelp alot of other ppl to

Issue is likely that the proper effect particles are missing, maybe try verifying cache?

thx and if tht doasnt work il tell u it just seems to be abig isue tht ost of the comunity has but never discusses

it kinda worked for amilisecond and then went back to red x particls if u have had this isue is there anything els u know tht may fix it
