why are the graphics so bad?

i don't know if this is supposed to be part of the game, or you haven't updated the graphics in 16
years. the graphics don't look so good. was that supposed to be the game plan or no? because if you could fix it i would be very grateful. its a good game, just the graphics aren't so good-looking, and the fact that you still update makes that you don't care about the graphics. they look like a burnt piece of toast that was thrown into a dumpster. and i am sorry to insult it, but you guys look like you need to hire professionals to do your job, clearly because your not good at doing YOUR job. game-developing is cool and all, but if your not gonna take it seriously then you should just quit the industry. i mean, look at this game, you called THIS a masterpiece? sorry to be offensive, but i cant handle not saying the truth. maybe in next months update you can do something about this.

This is probably bait, but they don’t update the graphics because there is really no point in doing that. We have the workshop for a reason. If you want a better looking game, Play non-Source Engine games or get addons.

Bruh, it's an old game? they can't just "Update the graphics" in order to do that you'd need to completely overhaul every texture and reconfigure heaps of ♥♥♥♥ that'd be like making a new game. I don't understand how you can't understand this... small brain time

I think that they made a beautiful work with the graphics for an old game like that, Garry's Mod runs on Source engine [Same engine of most of the Valve's games, like Half-Life 2] the graphics that you see on Garry's Mod are the original of the Source engine, did you except to play GTA V?

i don't understand tho. what i meant was that the in-game textures look bad. (so does sometimes the game to.) even though they made it run on Source engine (which is a good engine.) it STILL
doesn't look even similar. people have gone insane like idiots become drunk just of because of this game. i can even give some good reasons why this game isn't combing all its features:

its pointless
the textures look bad
the coding even worse
people who play it are drunk
there's no objective
and i paid $13 dollars for this crap.

so if anyone has a better comeback from this, then post now. because i can wait months.

they should be able to. i mean, take a look at Minecraft. the graphics looked like bird poop in
2009, nowadays you can make look like Gods Reality.

This is probably bait but i'm bored

Source engine is cresting 20 years old, Garrys mod uses a 7 year old version of that 20 year old engine. Graphics look quite good being based on a game 17 years old for that 20 year old engine. If you want the game to look good, then, just like minecraft, you can. There are plenty of HD models and textures for the base Half life and Counter strike source assets.

If you want to complain about coding, base GMOD is good, can't say the same for the hundreds of thousands of Workshop mods.

Not sure what being drunk has to do with anything ya you are gonna get people who are intoxicated playing on a server.

What objective???? Are you playing sandbox? Trouble in terrorist town??? DarkRP??? THe objective is whatever you want it to be.
