Gmod Crashing when Joining a Server and Freezing/not responding.

So, I had gmod for almost a year now, and nothing was wrong with it. Until recently, it began to crash as soon as I would hit enter or aka "Join Server". Some say it's only dark rp servers, but no. That's what I thought and so I joined a Hide and Seek server and it did the same. I verifyed my game cache, and un installed and reinstalled the game. I wasted my whole damn day doing all this ♥♥♥♥ with no solution. Hoping that someone knows what the hell is going on with my gmod and could help me, would be freaking great.

What happens.
I press Join server and/or hit enter to join, and when as soon as I click Join, it would just crash and freeze the screen it's showing. I try tabbing out, nothing. I try to ctrl+alt+delete to go to task manager, but it stays on the same screen. In order for me to get my PC back up, I need to either turn off the power, or unplug it. I have no clue what's happening. but I get this MM4 boostspeed error everytime I turn on my pc, but I don't think that relates to my gmod problem.

I verifyed my game cache, nothing, uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing.
Please help, this is the only game I enjoy, and I wasted my whole day looking for a solution, but turned out with nothing.

The hl2.exe is infected with a Trojan...
Trojan.Win32.Generic found inside hl2.exe (kaspersky)

I dont know, but probaly my reason for the VAC ban in csgo.
I scanned the complett Steam folder and Kaspersky found that:
Trojan.Win32.Generic found inside hl2.exe
Trojan.Win32.Generic found inside csgo.exe ( Probaly why i got VAC'd )

First i did thougt i got banned by that MM autojoiner which i used, but after Kaspersky showed me that in the exe is a Trojan, it just was for me: what the ♥♥♥♥

In my opinion, the VAC system is fkd up. They banned legit players as well.
Like me, how i was suspossed to knew that there is a fking Trojan...

Kaspersky never flags a exe or what ever just randomly. If he detects something, he automaticly msg me with details.

The reason is kaspersky, when you remove it or add exceptions for GMod, your GMod wont crash anymore. Games in steam don't have viruses, if they had viruses they would be off the store by now. GMod included.

Yep I've got the same thing coming up as well.. and I also use Kaspersky.

Yep I've got the same thing coming up as well.. and I also use Kaspersky.

Like I said, make an exception for GMod or change your anti-virus, because Kaspersky isn't really good.

Found the solution, most of you already know of it being Kaspersky. And all I did to fix it was turn off my firewall, and click the tab that was on the error on Kaspersky (hl2.exe) and click the first thing in the drop menu of it. I turned my firewall again, and It's working just fine now. Thanks for all those who have tried to help me, and others.
