Weapon HUD repeatedly changing?

you know how you select weapons in Half Life 2, where you scroll over a weapon using the Mouse Wheel, and click when the weapon you want is highlighted? for some reason, my weapon HUD keeps changing;

-most of the time, the only weapons i only have are the Physics Gun, Tool Gun, and the Camera (even though i have nearly all of my Source games installed). if i want to have the HL2 weapons in there, i manually have to re-select them ALL everytime i spawn or die

-now scrolling with the Mouse Wheel automatically scrolls through each weapon, but i dont want that to happen, because i dont see the weapon HUD at the top of the screen

does anyone know whats causing this? could it be Workshop Addons changing it without notifying me in their descriptions, or is it Gmod's ♥♥♥♥ty updates? (i dont think its updated in a awhile, but things have changed even when there isnt an update)

***Keep in mind this started happening today to me, and i havent downloaded/subscribed to any Workshop mods since maybe 2 or 3 days ago

I have this same problem when i play Garry's mod i can't scroll and pick what item i want it just does it automatically can you please steam message me when you figure out the fix




i just found out how to fix this i went to gmod and go to >keyboard>advanced and then click fast weapon change to off

Click utilities>admin>allow weapons
in spawn menu

This is what worked for me. pause>options>keyboard>advanced>fast weapon switch
