Gmod not making screenshots "Steam" way and "Show on disk" does nothing - need help.

I got a weird issue I have no idea how to fix.
Yesterday I was doing some stuff in Gmod, and making screenshots with F12, with Steam notification in the corner and sound when each of the screens were made.

Then I have launched Fraps, to record (keybind F10).

And after using Fraps, I have realized that suddenly my F12 does not give me notifications, which is annoying as I've no idea if the screen has been taken, and screensots are being saved in Garry's Mod folder, instead of default Steam folder (I haven't changed anything within the settings).
I have checked, and every other game seems to be working fine, but Gmod doesn't.
It really bugs me, because I got used to have all of the screens in default Steam folder.

I have been using Fraps while Gmodding many times, and I never had this strange issue before, it has occurred yesterday, and I cannot figure out how to fix it.

Also, since then I cannot use "Show on disk" button, as it does not open the dedicated folder, and I have to manually look for it.

Any help with that?

I've been encountering this issue as well. It appears Fraps breaks the overlay ever since some sort of Steam Update.

try binding steam screenshot to f5
or something that isntused (if f5 is used)

I still can make screen shots with Gmod, at least that works, but It does not show me any notifications and saves them not in Steam dedicated folder, but Gmod folder, and I can't even use "Show on disk". due to that, button does nothing.

I have the exact same error Gochna, except I'm not using fraps. (Only shadowplay sometimes, but its turned off). No "Show on disk", and no screenshot notification when pressing F12. Probably one of the steam updates causing it. And its present only in gmod. :S

It looks like that all of the 3rd party recording devices screw the UI in that case. Pity, as I was thinking of changing Fraps for something else then.
"Show on disk" stopped working for me for all of the games' screen shots, but at least other games screens show in Steam folder, while Gmod only in Gmod's folder itself. :S

Alrighty, it was a faulty Steam beta update. They just fixed it not long ago, so it wasn't related to any kind of recording program; works with every game now. Happy screenshotting :)

Indeed it is fixed! Gladly, as it was annoying the heck out of me, but all is back to normal :D
