GMod dedi server won't start, many errors - need some help :)
Ok so I have rented a dedi box running ubuntu 16.04 with TCAdmin installed. I have just bought GMod with the idea of setting it up on my dedi box but I can't seem to get it working.

When I set it up through TCAdmin, all looked ok and it said all the files were set up and configured and the server was running. However, I can't find it online, so I began looking at the web console and there are many errors. I don't really have much experience with this level of technical issue and was hoping someone could help. Rather than list all the errors I thought I'd start at the top with a few and see how I get on.

The first one says:
"couldn't load shader dll: game_shader_generic_garrysmod_srv.soConVarRef mat_dxlevel doesn't point to an existing ConVar"
I'm assuming this means that a file is either missing or pointing to an incorrect location? Am I right?

The second error says:
Fetching workshop addons.. No -authkey
Unknown command "cl_cmdrate"
Unknown command "cl_updaterate"
Unknown command "rate"

The third set of errors are similar to the second:
Unknown command "sbox_allownpcs"
Unknown command "sbox_plpldamage"
Unknown command "sbox_playergod"
Unknown command "sbox_maxspawners"
Unknown command "sbox_maxturrets"

These messages are repeated later in the console.

The fourth set of error messages are:
Error loading cfg/trusted_keys_base.txt
Error loading cfg/pure_server_minimal.txt

Fifth set of errors:
ConVarRef room_type doesn't point to an existing ConVar

Sixth set of errors:
Nav File is wrong or something (4)

Seventh set of errors:
Exactly the same as the third set of errors.

That's it for errors. At the end of the console log it then says:
Connection to Steam Servers Successful.
Public IP is 149.202.88.31
Assigned anonymous gameserver Steam ID [lots of numbers]
VAC Secure Mode is activated

When I try to manually enter the IP and port as a favourite in GMod, it tells me the server is not responsive.

Any pointers you can give that will help me begin to put this right would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Is the port blocked? Your ip might be blacklisted, contact steam support to find out if it is as they can remove it from the blacklist.

None of these errors are fatal, or even major. It just looks like you didn't portforward. There's plenty of port-forwarding guides out there, so just do a search of your router brand, model number, and "portforwarding".
So, for me, I'd search...
NETGEAR M1000 Portforwarding Tutorial
If you are still stuck, go ahead and post here and I'll try to help.

EDIT: Wait, I just realized you BOUGHT a server. Contact Facepunch, as Hackcraft said, its IP might be blacklisted due to that server previously doing malicious things to clients.

Ah muchos gracias :P

My first dedi-box. I didn't even twig that I'd have to manually open the port :P

Thanks for your help, looks like its working fine now.
