Is there a way to use cheats in gamemode maps? (scary maps)

My friend and I want to play some scary maps but we want to be able to spawn items in and weapons. We've seen a video of Vanossgaming where they were able to cheat in the Hell's Resort map and we wanna know how to do so. We've tried Sv_cheats 1 but it doesnt work. Help would be appreciated!

Make you and your friend admin?

Ulx and Ulib (same admin mod) might be the easiest way.

Open the server console and type "ulx adduser (yourname) superadmin"

impulse 101 should work

you dont really need ULX tbh. if you know the weapons classname, you can just type "sv_cheats 1" and then "give weapon_357" and then it'll give you a 357 magnum. same goes with custom weapons. say you wanted to spawn a weapon from the m9k collection, an example would be "give m9k_m4a1". but for default weapons you can use impulse 101 (as previously stated) or the commands ive been telling you.

you become admin automatically if you host from your client since you are host

my friend is usually the one who's hosting when we play maps, when i host the game runs like absolute cheese

Try "sv_cheats 1" followed by "impulse 101" with or without quotes.
Instead of those, you ccan try give or ent_create followed by
"item_suit" Gives you a HEV suit [which really only reactivates the stock HUD]
"weapon_Pistol" 9mm Pistol
"weapon_Physcannon" Gravity Gun
"weapon_crowbar" crowbar
"weapon_357" .357 Magnum
"weapon_smg1" SMG
"weapon_ar2" Pulse-rifle
"weapon_shotgun" Shotgun
"weapon_crossbow" Crossbow
"weapon_frag" Frag Grenade
"weapon_rpg" rocket launcher
"weapon_bugbait" bug balls, basically useless unless there's combine soldiers

All of this looks fancy but my big problem is when i play horror maps i just like to carry a gun around but most horror maps obviously ain't spooky since they take away guns immediately even if i use commands to spawn guns in or mainly try to have my addon weapons they just get removed from my hands what'll allow me to hold guns without them getting removed each second in these loser horror maps

And one I played... I was like: "Okay, you're locked in your parents house, found nothing but blood in their room, and you're locked in. The best thing to do is find where an armanent is placed, brace against a good corner with no windows and be ready to shoot the moment they barge through.
