Game turn into blackscreen after loading map

As the title said, when I host or join a server, I cannot see anything. It's all black. I can still press Esc to go to the menu, I can still see the (annoying) hints, and also (part of) the HUD. The game is black and weird. When I turn on stereoscopy in the Post-Processing tab, I can see the game. But when I turn it off, it goes back to black. I just recently reinstalled the game (twice!) and still nothing.

I tried to:
- Verify cache (always ends up with 1 file not validated)
- Reinstall (twice, as stated above)
- Reinstall into another partition (because I thought that the partition was kinda broken)
- Updating my drivers.

Still nothing worked. All just a blackscreen, the HUD and the annoying hints.

Any texture content packs downloaded online?

So the first time this happened were you just joining a server?
Try windows mode?

Open Steam
Go to the "Library"
Right-click the game which needs to be reconfigured
Select "Properties" from the menu
Click the "Set launch options..." button
Remove any launch options currently shown.
Type -sw in the box.
Now Garry's Mod will run in a window instead of full screen.

If those still get you a black screen try to uninstall and then go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common
C:\Program Files (x86) <<< This may be different

and delete the GarrysMod folder. Then reinstall.
Another thing to try is to restart your PC.

I don't. I only have CS:S installed and mounted.

Thats really weird, what were you doing before (the last time you played) it stopped working? It could be an addon your subscribed to.

The game is working now. Weirdly, all I did was uninstall, install Skyrim, play it, then reinstall Gmod. Suddenly worked. IDK.

Good to hear your Mod is working. Maybe all it needed was the reinstall or maybe Skyrim interfered with it somehow.

Have a similar problem, but for some reason it is only when I load physics maps. No idea why.

sorry to be that guy but im also having the problem and i tried everything everyone said to try like reinstalling gmod and verify intergity of game files and the windowed method works but it lags alot and i wanna use fullscreen which lags less i think this is obvious but the problem happens mainly whenever i use fullscreen also i uninstalled gmod from steam and deleted the gmod folder and still not working is there a fix for fullscreen?it mainly as said in post happens when joining a server and it loaded in it happens on all servers pls help
