gmod wont close.

I quit Gmod but steam says its still running, how do i fix this?

Happens to me too. I usually just restart my computer. This used to happen for other games but it has stopped and now it only does this for gmod since Ive gotten back into playing Gmod. I think this may fix it because I havent had it happen since I started doing this. To keep this from happening try to disconnect from the sever youre on and THEN click quit Gmod. It probably has something to do with you not fully disconnecting from the sever youre on after quitting, therefore steam still recognizes you as playing Gmod. Hope this helps because I think it fixed it for me :)

Happens fairly often, you don't always have to restart your computer, click on the arrow button next to your volume, right click the steam icon and select quit steam. If that doenst work, just open up task manager and force close steam.

Use task manager, and end task. It works with any frozen software. (That is, if you use windows)

Actually, closing steam will only make it say "Closing [game or application] please wait" and not do anything and the task manager will sometimes not work and will say the same thing as if you were closing steam from the toolbar by the volume button or closing it from steam. Therefore it is sometimes mandatory to restart your PC because there is simply no other way.

If you really need to force close Garry's Mod and you cant see task manager then open CMD (it does not matter if its in the background as long as you can type in it) and type this:

taskkill /im gmod.exe /f
