How can I make an NPC friendly/hostile?

Is there any way I can do this without the flipoff SWEP?

when you open your spawn menu(q) there is something that says NPC'S. Click it. Then you can choose to disable thinking or enable ignore player. Hope it helps :)

your right they will be friendly if you disable thinking but they will also be brainless idiots. If you do ignore player they wont give a poop about you so that doesn't help either

This will allow you to manipulate NPCs more carefully, and solve your exact problem aswell as give you more control over the game overall through the context menus.

The link works fine on my client.
Try opening it in an external browser (ie firefox).

Get the Doctor Who sonic screwdriver addon. It can make an npc friendly/hostile towards you.
