Xbox One Controller

Does anyone know how I can set up an Xbox One controller so I can look up and down. I set the controls up for just about everything else and they work fine (A makes me jump, I can move using the left stick, I can look right and left with the right stick, Right Trigger is shoot, etc) but I, for the life of me, can not make my contoller look up or down. I set the right sticks to look up and down but it doesn't happen. Is there something I am overlooking?

I like using controllers over a mouse and keyboard? I am primarily a console gamer. But I digress. That really isn't the point of the discussion here.

#bump i like how everybody makes a thread about this problem and everysingle one i look at theres still no solution to our problem **** valve for not taking the time to patch a VERY simple patch for us console gamers to pc gamers, and its hard to play on a laptop thats why we need a controller but whatever, someone help us we would like to play also- signed still frustrated

Having a good time is not necesarily the same as of being really good at a game, it's about sharing with like-minded people.
So if you are not like-minded... KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!

PC gaming is supossed to be about having a custom experience. So, and I say this with no offense intended, If you cannot help, just look for a different thread.

I understand PC games normally have bigger button layout than console games, just let the guys with the joypads figure out that problem.

Kinda off topic, but i still ask. So Xbox One controllers now works on PC? Can i like buy one controller in store and use it just like Xbox 360 controller?

For use on the PC, its the same as XBOX 360, just need the driver.

EVERYONE!!!! Ive got your problem solved, you have to download a program called "Xinmapper". Plug in your controller, and run the program, your right analog stick on your controller will now work as the mouse on your computer, which allows you to look up and down. You will still need to have the rest of the controls in Garrys Mod configured for the controller, I personally have done this and remapped the controls the way they are comfortable for me. Mine are configured to resemble the "Call Of Duty" game series controls and they work perfectly. I hope this method works out for you guys as it did for me, if you have any questions or comments, message me. ChocolateWatson out...
