CSCheater Texture Glitch

I have Half Life 2 on Xbox but not on computer, so inorder to get the textures for Gmod I went to this website called CSCheater.com and downloaded the textures, (just to be clear I did NOT pirate I just got textures). This fixed the problem but it caused some others. for starters it replaced the vortigaunt model with a beat up model, and secondly it replaced the Judith Mossman model with the version where shes wearing a artic coat. While I like being able to spawn artic Judith, I have found no way of spawning in regular Judith. Third (and most annoying) is the black box with orange glowing sphere in the middle, which covers up part of the gravity gun whenever I try to use it. Does anyone know of a way to fix these issues without giving up the texture fix?

That still considered as piracy, redistributing Valve game content is illegal. Even that website is censored.

Just download them legally from SteamCMD for free or just say you did it that way to prevent people from eatng you out

To all the people calling me a pirate even though I only downloaded textures NOT full games, you have a completely backwards idea of what does and doesn't consititue as fair use! If downloading textures counts as piracy then half of the workshop would be illegal. According to that logic every character model of a person or creature from a movie uploaded to the workshop would be piracy because it uses textures from the movie!

No its not I only got textures, also what are you taking about when you say "even if that website is censored" what do you mean censored? What does censorship have to do with anything?

No its not I only got textures, also what are you taking about when you say "even if that website is censored" what do you mean censored? What does censorship have to do with anything?

Getting the textures from a third-party site is illegal, multiple mods have stated so.

Then I would say multipe mods aren't correct. Espcailly since I haven't been arested!

Alright I'll keep that in mind. But, seriously they're wrong. If it's illegal they can prove it by getting me arrested, (which they can't do because I didn't pirate I just got textures). If it was illegal Valve would have already sued the site's owner. The owner of the cite even specifcally said: "We do not support piracy and never will. If any party owning copyrights, feels that their rights are fully or partially breached,​​ my logic is flawed or otherwise displeasing of content creators, the content will be removed or edited to comply with the requirements they set us."

they aren't wrong. Valve has copywritten the materials, and have specified that getting the textures on third-party sites is illegal.

clearly you would deserve this at this point, you pirate. Just buy the game through steam and it should work, other than that id rather spend money than use a third party pirate website

The FBI arent going to burst through your door and detain you, you would and could get a large fine for it

i have solved it. the files that are with games and gmod mix and gmod will detect these files with the same names as files in gmod and ignore them unless they are specifically called. what the addon folder does is load with all the legacy addons(aka the texture packs) and gmod dont give a crap and will load all of them weird. the way to fix this is to move them any where out of the addons folder and delete all of the addon.txt files. then go to C:\Program Files\(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\cfg. now once you are here you have to right click mount.cfg and open with notepad then go back to the textures , go into each individual folder and paste the path in this format

once you have that done all the content will load properly and you will no longer have anything wrong and also delete the hl2 texture pack. this will not load properly anyway scince its content is already in gmod. i hope this helps. if you are still having trouble im making a youtube video on how to do it.
