How do you import textures/models in the Hammer editor?
I'm editing a map in Hammer but when opening the .vmf it appears that all of the textures default to basic Hammer Editor textures & the models are all ERROR signs. Any tips?

You have just downloaded the map and not the custom content that goes alongside with it. If your ripped of an existing map and decompile it to use in Hammer, you will need to find the VMT/VTF and .MDL files to get textures and models working correctly.
Also, you ma have opened a map made with counter-strike:source for exemple. So you will need (to have) and to open the map with the cs:s hammer version.

Okay, thank you. I was just wondering because the person who made the map let anyone download the .VMF but I couldn't find a VMT/VTF or .MDL file in the download so I was stumped on how to edit the map while it was in this state.
