How do I get Textures from HL2 Episode 2 into Gmod?

Hey, I recently downloaded a Map that required Episode 2 Textures and I said to myself: Ok I have that installed so the Textures should work. But as I started the map all the Textures were gone so I had no Episode 2 Textures and I don't know why.Please Help me. BTW: I'm on Mac:D

doesn't make a difference if your on Mac or Windows, it's the exact same proccess.

requirements:
Gmod (obviously)
Half Life 2 Episode 2 (obviously)
knowledge of basic gmod (duh)


Half Life 2 Episode 2 textures can be put into gmod a few different ways
Method 1 - Purchase and Download Half Life 2 Episode 2 on Steam and then mount it on Gmod.

Method 2 - get Shared games access with someone who has Half Life 2 Episode 2 (it works)

Method 3 - Download them from a website (not gonna say what websites, besides steam filters out the names of those that do)

The only legal way is owning the game and mounting it in the menu or sharing the game with another user and mounting it to gmod. Any other way is illegal, against Steam's ToS, and may get you banned from the Steam Community.

Buy the game or steamCMD. Only legal ways.

You can download textures off the steam workshop that's what did

You cant get banned if you mount cracked textures it's Not possible Never will be Steam does know all the files on the game but the same logic with adding non-steam games to the steam library steam cant know if its cracked or not I've never done it because I have money but I think you may be banned if you say you have
