Smoke Textures Glitching Out

On any server or in SP the smoke textures glitch out. It's extreme and is blinding. I tried reinstalling my game and it didn't fix it. I remove all my addons and it didn't fix it. I couldn't find anything online to fix this issue. I'll add some screenshots. (Using DarkRP as an example in the pictures)

yeah im having the same problem with some cars, essectially tire smoke and exhaust smoke is just replaced with blinding glitchy squares.....Ive looked for others with the same problem and this is literally the only time someone has my exact same problem, I cant find anything else.

Haha, I found a fix for this a long time ago. I don't remember exactly what I did but I think I went through some folders in the Garry's Mod direc and removed any files called "smoke". After that, I verified my files via the steam properties and launched my game. I have had any problems since. It would be easier to just remove everything from your garrysmod folder inside the directory except for your addons and then verify your files. Yet, that's only faster if you have a decent download rate. (Which I definitely do not [4 Mb/s Max])

Actually, try this:

1. Open your Garrys Mod folder

2. Open the folder called "garrysmod" inside your Garrys Mod folder

3. In the search bar, type "smoke" and hit enter.

4. Do Ctrl+A and then RClick and press Delete

5. Verify your files in the game properties and open your game

6. Tell me if this works

this didn't work. it just delete my smoke grenade sprites.

if you have any addons installed, then the problem might reside there. i had the same problem until i uninstalled L4D2 Special Infected SNPCS or Whatever it was called.

EXACTLY what I had. Remove that addon unless you REALLY want it. It breaks all smoke and explosion particles!

a VERY useful command for any glitched textures is mat_texture_list 1 , when you find and click the glitched texture in the list you can press the 'Where is" button and it'll show you where that textures installed.
