VX Donation help
So I recently bought VX Donation, took me a whole day of trying to get the actual webpage up. The database connected to the webpage, but it won't connect to the addon somehow? In the config.lua i put in all my DB info, I've restarted server countless times. Even if it was working, I don't know how to open it, !donate does not work at all.

"Why don't you open up a support ticket?" We have, no response, I tried to add the developer on steam at 10am, says he's online. Still waiting at 11pm. So, I've tried everything, and I'm hoping someone could help me out on this one as I've searched and searched for fixes, but found nothing.

Never even heard of "VX Donation". You're better off asking them.

Hey Pedo, you need the MySQL binaries for GMod in your server for it to connect up.

Edit: Should clarify, by default Garry's Mod has no way to connect to external databases other than the internal sv.db.

Read Facepunch post for installation instructions.

MySQLoo v8+ installed on your Garry's Mod Server (https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1515853)

Quick Downloads:
Windows - https://github.com/syl0r/MySQLOO/tree/master/out/windows

Linux - https://github.com/syl0r/MySQLOO/tree/master/out/linux

Hey Soarin, Thanks for the help. The Windows quick download link is dead. Anyway, I went on the facepunch link and downloaded a folder called "MySQLOO-9.5", and a file called "gmsv_mysqloo_win32.dll". They are to go into my bin folder right? Just wondering If i need to add the whole folder for "MySQLOO-9.5" into the bin or do I just add the stuff inside it.

I also downloaded a file called "libmysql.dll", that is to go in my garrysmod directory correct? Thank you for your help, I hope this fixes it.

Bingo, that all sounds right. Although what's inside the MySQLOO-9.5 folder isn't important, you don't need to transfer that. That's the files before they're compiled into that gmsv_mysqloo_win32.dll.

Also it goes into lua/bin/ (You need to create that directory manually, the bin folder doesn't exist in lua by default)

Hey, I can't transfer dll files to my server through FileZilla for some weird reason. I added the folder to bin but around 7 files didnt upload. None of the dll files will upload. Will it work without them?

For anyone who has this problem specifically, contact your host provider, they may have that disabled. The control panel most hosts use is called TCAdmin, and by default .dll's are disabled.

This may come in use for anyone who comes across this, here's the default blocked filetypes in TCAdmin. Could save you trouble in the future before starting a project.

*.exe;*.dll;*.so;*.bat;*.sh;*.cmd;*.vbs;*.pif;*.scr;*.com
