do I have to buy Counter strike source just to play this game?

Basically all servers I play on have the checkered black and pink, and it's pinned that I must have CS:S installed. Do i have to spend another £15 just to play? I feel like the game is basically £20 not £5 as you have to buy the textures too?

for textures yeah but Counter Strike Source is a fun game all on its own as well plus if you're not a fan of the more E-Sport materialed Counter Strike Global Offensive it'll be a game for you.

Probably about 75% of people with Garry's Mod use this free method. Again, it's completely legal, and there's lots of different youtube videos that show you the same thing.

I tried that method, but gmod didn't recognised that addon, and a load of trouble ahead to get it to work. So I tried the fastest and officially most recommended method - bying CS:S. And this game was recognised by gmod immediately, so all I had to do was to checkit in the main meny, icon on lower right screen. Then almost all of the texture issues were fixed.
