"Download Failed! Error Code 42!" for server workshop downloads
So, I am trying to set up a GMod server and I've added a workshop collection to the start script. It gets detected and while starting the server it tries to fetch all of the addons. But for every single addon, I get the message: "Download Failed! Error Code 42!". Now, I haven't found anything about code 42 yet... Does anybody have an idea?

Have you played a non-steam version of Garry's Mod before? Because when I look it up, it keeps mentioning about duplicates of any program involved.

No, I haven't. I will try to reinstall Garry's Mod, let's see if that helps.

That didn't do the trick, unfortunately.

Am I really the only one with this issue? :/

moved the server to another directory because you had to be admin to edit stuff in the former. Didn't fix it, but now this starts showing up before every error:
"WS: What is happening?!?"

For the addons: Does it say their names as their being downloaded? Do you have enough room for the download/ Does the server location have enough room to download these maps?
Is it dedicated or hosted?

I run it on my PC. The server directory has about 100GB of free space and yes, it does say the names of the addons. This is the full output:

Huh. Never actually ran into this before. Thats interesting.
It fetches the collection information, receives the request to download the content onto the server, but it refuses and throws out "WS: What is happening?!? / Download Failed! Error Code 42!" with every download. HMMM. So theres a couple of theories that i can think of.
Either the folder is being protected by an antivirus-like protection which is preventing it... or maybe the login its trying to use is not working?
OR
"No account token specified; logging into anonymous game server account. (Use sv_setsteamaccount to login to a persistent account.)"
Thats your best bet.
I would suggest logging into your game account through program and seeing if that would help?
Let me know :]

Thanks for the suggestion, I created a token for my server to log in with. For some reason it doesn't work, as this starts showing up at the end (the errors are still there):
Logging into Steam game server account Could not establish connection to Steam servers. (Result = 15) Could not establish connection to Steam servers. (Result = 15)
I thought that it might have to do with my firewall, so I turned it off to see if it works. Doesn't change anything, still the same.

INTERESTING. Something is blocking its connection to the steam servers.
Do you happen to have an antivirus enabled? Perhaps disabling it would help.
Because that would explain both issues. Something is blocking it from fetching and downloading data.
