Mic not working :(
A while ago, i was tinkering with the Mic options of Discord and now my mic wont work in Gmod.
I've already ran tests and my headset works fine with everything else but not with Gmod.

Any advice would help. Thanks.

Also, if your computer has an internal mic and you are trying to use the headset, turn the internal mic on while booting gmod. Then turn it off once booted. In TF2 at least, seems I have to do this sometimes to get my headset to register.

I've seen many similar issues, It's likely not because of discord, but it's an issue with the Source Engine voice chat provider (The ability to use voice chat in game) being low quality and outdated software compared to what is used with many other games.

I still think this has something to do with Discord as the problem began to occur after i had changed some options.

go to settings, then go to sound / audio (whichever its called, idk) and maybe something in there can fix it.

If that didn't work then try this:

Check inside your Steam settings that your mic is being detected. If not it could be a problem with your line in. Try going into your Steam Settings and into voice and detect devices. Make sure that your microphone is set to both your default device and also your default communications device. Otherwise it may not be detected by steam.

Also, I've checked in the Steam Settings but there is not 'Voice' option.
Any advice?

Yep, i had to disable my mic and then re-enable it when Gmod had loaded. Thanks :)
