Report a translation problem
go to settings, then go to sound / audio (whichever its called, idk) and maybe something in there can fix it.
If that didn't work then try this:
Check inside your Steam settings that your mic is being detected. If not it could be a problem with your line in. Try going into your Steam Settings and into voice and detect devices. Make sure that your microphone is set to both your default device and also your default communications device. Otherwise it may not be detected by steam.
Any advice?
Also, if your computer has an internal mic and you are trying to use the headset, turn the internal mic on while booting gmod. Then turn it off once booted. In TF2 at least, seems I have to do this sometimes to get my headset to register.
