wiremod target finder problem

i was just building a turret and the target finder wouldn't target anything every time its on target npc's and player's or whatever else it wont paint any of them i even checked if i had the "paint target" activated and i did but it still didnt target them please help.

Could you submit a screenshot of your target finder options? I haven't used the default target finder in years, no PC to check.
