P2P Not working tried absolutely everything.

I tried playing gmod with my friend TDB, i create a new server put it to 2 player and p2p and on his end it says "server not responding" help?

Does this line show in the console when you both load up Garry's Mod?
Parent cvar in server.dll not allowed (p2p_enabled).
Could be something with the server.dll that's in the bin file. I'll need to look it up.

i'm having a similar problem with my garry's mod, i use p2p to play with my friends and they can't join, it says "connection failed after 6 retries" or some variation of that, i don't know why it's been doing this, but it used to work before, i've tried different things to get it to work, such as reinstalling gmod and changing a few settings, hell i've even tried having my friends host servers with no luck as I can't join them and they can't join me, does anyone know why this is happening? it worked about 4 or 5 days ago, and now, I can't use p2p

i can join his hosted server but he cant join mine, p2p is enabled too

Wtf, now my p2p thing works again, my friend is in the server right now.

i think it was something with my addons, i did something and it started working again.
i'd say try to do something with your addons.
