Difference between Local and Peer to peer?
What are they?! Is there a way I can host a game where ANYONE can join?! I have never had anyone join my game and I am lonely.

Local is just your local network (people in your house or on your LAN network), Peer to Peer is where you can invite a friend to join outside of your home network however it is not displayed publicly.

To make a server that is displayed publicly you either have to get one (usually purchase one with a monthly fee) or do it for free by installing a Garry's Mod dedicated server on your computer and port forwarding via your router to make it public. That's the only 2 ways to get your server publicly displayed for external players to see it and join it.

That's odd. I was playing with my friend once a while ago, and somebody randomly joined, but they never loaded in.
