Blood Impact Particle Effect bugged

Having gotten tired of the default half life 2 blood impact effect which looks like someone shot at a can of tomatos and tried out many different replacements until i found one i liked.
To my shock however, it stopped working today for unknown reasons.
i did menu_cleanupgmas, deleted Particle_Manifest, uninstalled addons, reinstalled, verified game cache for approximately 50 times and watched many, many youtube videos.

What could be causing the problem? Is there a fix?

make sure you don't have another blood replacement addon, that will cause issues, but if that isn't it, try reinstalling the addon.

EDIT: The fact that you linked the addon is very helpful for those that want to help fix the issue.

i uninstalled my addons. so far only this one works
